Namaste Yogis and Yoginis!

Gung Hei Fat Choi! Happy Chinese New Year of the Rooster! And welcome to Inspirations Issue 4!

We hope you have enjoyed the first few weeks of 2017. It has been wonderful seeing you all back on your mats the past few weeks and also to welcome so many new faces at The Studio.

As January draws to a close, many of us may already be reflecting on New Years resolutions, often made in haste and just as hastily broken. According to a recent article in the press, by the end of January each year, 66 percent of New Year’s resolutions have already been broken.

All is not lost, however, the Chinese New Year this weekend gives us another chance for a fresh start. In Chinese communities across the world, preparations for the New Year have already begun, with thorough cleaning of homes and workplaces, shopping for food in abundance and the buying of new clothes to see in the Year of The Rooster. The idea behind all this ‘clearing out’ is to make space for luck, happiness, good health and abundance on all levels for the year to come. Each year of the Chinese calendar is affiliated to one of twelve animals. To find out more about this The Year of The Rooster, read on…

To celebrate the New Year and show our appreciation for all your support over the past year, we will be giving out traditional ‘red packets’ to all students. Red packets, ‘lai see’, ‘ang pao’ or ‘hoong bao’, are envelopes containing a gift of monetary value and are given on special occasions. The red colour of the envelope signifies good luck.

So when you finish your class at The Radiant Hand Studio over the Chinese New Year, take your chance and pick a red packet. Two lucky students can win one of Teach’s golden tickets, a special pass entitling you to 5 classes at The Radiant Hand Studio! Other red packets will contain a whole range of exciting gifts. One red packet only per student please.

A little reminder that the first half of term finishes on Tuesday 7th February 2017, with all Karma and Jnana passes expiring on that date. Classes for the second half of term are already filling up, so please book your places as soon as possible.

Finally, would you like the opportunity to experience a whole day on retreat with The Radiant Hand? We are running an inspiring Urban Day Retreat (UDR) on Saturday 4th March 2017 09:00am – 6:15pm. Click here for full details. Places are filling up fast, so please book online or via The Radiant Hand App or email us as soon as possible to reserve your space. We hope to see as many of you as possible there.

With Love and Light,
The Radiant Hand Team
